Recently a reader wrote me with this frightening true account.I was born in Long Island New York and now I live in Miami Fla. For years I have been searching for a true answer. When I was 14 teen years old I would always go to sleep with the stereo on and my bedroom door closed. I always left my window shades open so the street light would keep my bedroom lit up. One night, I woke up out of my sleep because I couldn't hear the stereo on. I opened my eyes and my mother had opened my bedroom door and turned off the stereo.
I was so mad at her so I started to pull my covers off and I laid back down scared out of my wits. There was a girl identical to me standing next to my bed. She was just like me- I have never been so afraid in my life. All she did was look at me. She had a long white dress with a pinkish color to it, but white. She had this covering over her like a see through veil but clear in color. She even had the same color hair and hair cut I had.
I was mostly afraid that she was going to talk or do something to me. After staring at her for as long as I could without blinking, I finally blinked my eye's and she was gone. Then when I saw that she was gone I made sure and looked all around the room- to make sure she wasn't hiding in any corner of my room waiting to pop back out on me. I counted to 10 and ran to my mothers bedroom, I told her and fell asleep in her bed and slept there for a few nights after that.
I am now 45 years old and I am still asking myself and searching online for an answer. I remember that night like it was yesterday. I wonder- Was this demonic a twin I never knew I had? His second wife, Fadzai, fled the matrimonial home in Nkulumane after her stepson attacked her while possessed by her father's spirit. He also smashed 16 window panes.
He was arrested and later released without charge after the police decided "what they were seeing was beyond their understanding," the Chronicle added.
The dead man's uncle, Nobbie Kwadi, 61, said: "We are not fighting with anyone and we do not want to say things that will later cause quarrels among relatives.
"We can only tell you that the body will be exhumed on Friday. It was supposed to be done last week but there was a missing document in our application to the Bulawayo City Council, for permission to dig up the grave at Hyde Park Cemetery."

"I sat in bed and thought, have I really seen that?" said Jackson.
"Then Fran came in. I told her about it and the first thing she said was: 'was it the woman with the screaming face?"' he said.
"Fran had seen the same woman in the same room about two years before."
Jackson said that when the St James Theatre was being restored a few years ago, people talked about the legend of the woman who committed suicide after being booed off the stage after a bad show in vaudeville days.

You can't be in the paranormal biz without noticing that others in the field can be proprietary, gossipy, backstabbing, and competitive. The same thing happens in the Bigfoot industry and UFO fields. But, when you put the three research groups together, you find something interesting--they often are not helpful to each other, even though they are not outright competitive.

There's some snobbery in each community. To a ghost hunter, the concept of aliens is ludicrous, Bigfoot would have been found by now. The only true unsolved mystery is the afterlife and phenomena which is reported more than UFO or Bigfoot sightings.

I enjoyed driving through Virginia and West Virginia. There's a lot of history in these two states surrounding the civil war era and a number of places are believed to be haunted as a result.
When we arrived in the town of Beckley, I noticed a number of businesses advertising Ghost Walks. I was only in town one night and unable to attend a tour of this towns most haunted sites. Here are a two well known haunted places in this town:
Beckley Junior High - This was once the site of a Hospital during the Civil War. A young nurse named Hannah was killed in the hospital and is believed to haunt this building. A number of people have heard a women moaning and footsteps up and down the halls of this school.
Soldiers Memorial Theater - This theater was built in 1931 as a memorial to the soldiers of WWI. Today it houses an art gallery and is a performance center. Staff and artists have had a number of experiences with disembodied voices, cold spots, strange noises and other paranormal phenomena in this historical building. A man dressed in gray has also been sighted in the theater by a number of eyewitnesses.

Does a ghost appear regularly at this spot on the Coleford-Cinderford road near the Dilke?
Lone figure waits...then vanishesA LONG-time driver who regularly passes the Dilke Hospital during the night has the shivers after encountering what he believes is a ghost...twice!
Not wishing to be identified in case his employers worry about his state of mind, the man says he is sure there is something supernatural about a figure waiting in the road by the bus stop at the Dilke side of the road - only to vanish when the kind-hearted driver offered him a lift into Cinderford.
The first time it happened 18 months ago, knowing no bus was due, he drew in to offer the man a lift. The half-past midnight encounter was unsettling.
"The shelter has windows and when I pulled up and looked out and there was nobody there at all, I wondered if it had just been a reflection in one of the glass panels," he said.
But he looked all around and there was nobody in sight...
Putting the mystery to the back of his mind he had all but forgotten it until last Sunday, when the figure again appeared at the bus stop at around 7pm and he slowed down. Once again it had gone when he drew level. Once again, there was nobody at all in sight.
And thinking back to the earlier occasion, he remembered the figure had looked exactly the same and was even looking in the same direction on both occasions, as if waiting for somebody he knew.
The driver is so convinced that there is something odd about the encounters that he wonders if anyone knows of "something terrible" that happened at this spot many years ago.
"It might be quite some time ago, because everyone I have told about it says they have heard of nothing like that. And the bus stop itself must be fairly recent," he said.
"Even the cemetery and crematorium over the road, the sort of place you might expect to have ghostly goings-on, only started in the 1950s."

Three ghost hunters were conducting an investigation at a cemetery in Richland, Missouri, when they captured something quite unique and 'ghostly', though not the Bob Marley type.
It's also rare that ghost hunters report to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), though it has happened before.

Richland, Missouri
On the evening of Saturday June 5th our paranormal group decided to do a investigation in a cemetery near Richland Missouri in Pulaski County. It was just the group leader, his wife, and myself that night. We were having the usual investigation and were at first glance getting a lot of orbs, with a couple of really cool face pictures.
While at the cemetery I saw a shooting star shoot straight down. The night was clear with some clouds in the distance producing heat lightning. My friend was using a camera that had an infra red attachment. He has a better camera then I do that is 10megapixel.
We spent about 45 minutes at this place then moved on to the next cemetery down a series of dirt roads. While there all three of us noticed a constant humming noise at this cemetery. It was not the interstate as when you live by a road there are occasional breaks in the noise.
We finished up the investigation at the second investigation and headed back to the group leader's house. We uploaded our pictures to our respective computers and proceeded to go through the evidence right then and there. About approximately ten minutes into the review of evidence. I hear "What the hell is that?!?" coming from the group leader. I got up and, his wife got up from the computer desk and headed over to his desk and looked at an unusual object hanging in the sky among the trees. This was unlike anything I had ever seen before.
We realized that this photo was taken in the first cemetery. The picture that was taken in the same spot and in the general same direction before had no such object in it. It was invisible to us. While we were in that spot we had to be no more then 25 feet from the object and the group leader speculates that the object was hovering about in the tree tops. Observing us.
Also noticed in other photographs are humanoid looking faces with two black stripes painted upon their cheeks.
It is also worth noting that the group leader and his wife did a pre-visit to the graveyard about two weeks ago. When we arrived he commented that there looked to be several dirt patches that were not there previously.
Were the aliens investigating us investigating the cemetery? Did they follow us to the other cemetery and was that the constant humming we heard? We may never know the true answer.

If you look closely, it appears to be behind some trees in the foreground, yet partially "in" the background trees.
The object also appears to be semi-transparent. Perhaps a double exposure, or stranger still, something trans-dimensional?
It looks vaguely like a cement bucket but I'd appreciate feedback on this. Please email me if you have any idea as to what this could be.

What happened to cause star Nina Dobrev to believe in ghosts?
The actress, who plays doppelg"angers Elena and Katherine on the CW thriller, says the crew had more than one close encounter with paranormal phenomena while filming at the Gaither Plantation in Covington, Ga.
Once, Dobrev told the AP, a phantom piano player interrupted a shoot.
"The ADs started screaming, 'Stop! Whoever that is, stop the music. We're rolling!'" she said, adding that when the crew barged into the room with the piano, it was empty.
Another time, when Dobrev was alone in a bathroom with no one nearby, she said "the lights were just spontaneously coming on and off."
The whole crew, said the actress, shared a "weird feeling" while filming at Gaither but "nobody could pinpoint" why.
Enter Syfy's Ghost Hunters crew, who investigated the plantation for an episode airing aired April 15, 2009.
"We have a lot of theories," Amy Bruni, one of the Ghost Hunters paranormal investigators, told us today about the hauntings. "The place is very historical-it's been around for a long time. There's a lot of history in that area. Sometimes we see that associated with paranormal activity, especially tragedies or things like that where something might not want to leave.
"I wouldn't blame them," Ami laughs. "It's a beautiful location."
Ami says The Vampire Diaries crew aren't the mysterious piano player's first audience. "I know piano playing has been reported there before," she told us, theorizing that "it could be what we consider a residual haunt. Something that doesn't necessarily interact with you but it kind of does things-goes through the motions."
The Ghost Hunters crew believe they found pretty conclusive evidence of paranormal activity during their investigation at the Gaither Plantation. "We basically put some flour down on the floor upstairs in the attic, left it and came back and there were footsteps in it." (Goosebumps!) "It's a very old-fashioned way of investigating. And then there was a cabinet door downstairs that we caught on camera that opened on its own [and] we heard footsteps throughout the location. It's been awhile but I do remember it pretty well as a really neat place."
A neat place to go on a dare, maybe, but would you want to work there?
"I don't think we've shot there since," Dobrev said.

I had the privilege last Saturday night to tour and investigate two haunted locations in the town of Lindsay with the Paranormal Ghost Society, who was in charge of the tour. The locations were the Mason House and the Lindsay Museum and Gallery, which was next door to the Mason House. I decided to bring along my friend Michele as she had never been ghost hunting before and wanted to see what it was like.
Upon arrival I met several members of PGS as well as Gary our tour guide. After introducing myself I started to ask about the history of both places. I was told both have had paranormal activity in the past and included strange footsteps, voices when no one else was around, as well as being touched by an unseen presence. Now I know this doesn't sound like much, but when you get multiple witnesses reporting the same thing you start to take notice.
The first location we investigated was the Mason House, so named after the family that owned it for years. But it has history even before that. Sometime during the early 20th century, a doctor took up residence in the growing town of Lindsay and had ordered a prefab home from Sears that would serve as both his home and place of work. Unfortunately his stay there didn't last long as he had an affair with a nurse (who was said to be married) and was ran out of town. Apparently being run out of town back then meant traveling 13 miles to the South and taking up residence in Porterville. The home changed hands a few times before the Mason family took ownership before passing it to the city of Lindsay to be used as a museum of sorts.
After touring the Mason House our guide Gary took us next door to the Lindsay Museum and Gallery. This used to be the old Lindsay Museum and which was built sometime in the 1920's. But with the construction of the new library, this building was converted to a museum housing artifacts from Lindsay's past as well as having a section dedicated to showcasing local art. This right here made me happy. Instead of just tearing down an old building because it had no use anymore, the city of Lindsay found a new use for it. I wish Fresno would do the same instead of tearing down an old building instead of finding a new use for it.
After touring both locations I asked if the group new anything behind the paranormal activity. They said they didn't as of yet but were currently researching the history of both locations. They have gathered evidence such as EVP's that verify the locations are haunted, just they don't know who is behind the activity as of yet. I wanted to mention this as not every spot that is haunted has a ready made story behind it. It takes paranormal investigation groups years to determine what's causing the activity and why.
After being given a tour and a brief history lesson the group headed back to the Mason House to do some EVP work. We set up in the living room area. I didn't bring any equipment (didn't realize we'd get a chance to do an investigation) and all I had with me was my iPhone's recorder which isn't the best. Luckily PGS has several recorders and proceeded to do a session. While asking questions, one of the group members noticed some movement in the kitchen area. During that same time I heard some noises that sounded like they were coming from where the stove was at in the kitchen. After listening to the recordings we headed to the kitchen to see if we could get anything there. More strange noises were heard including what sounded like footsteps coming from right next to me.
Unfortunately time wasn't on my side as I had to work the next morning. So we then headed to the basement of the old library were most of the activity occurred. This included an unsettling presence, voices whispering, and being touched by an invisible hand. We started to do another EVP session there when I heard what sounded like a small knock on the shelf next to me. One of the group members asked if whoever was there could make the noise again, which again we did hear. Now it could have just been the old wood expending from the day's heat, but I thought this was rather coincidental that when asked a second time we received a reply. We continued recording when I heard a noise behind me, this time a louder thud. I inspected the area but couldn't find anything that had fallen over that would have made that sound. As we were looking for what made the noise we heard what sounded like several footsteps upstairs. As for it being one of the group this was unlikely as every person except one was in the basement, and as we headed back upstairs there was no one there and the group member was next door still at the Mason House.
As the night concluded I thanked the Paranormal Ghost Society, a bit bummed as I wanted to investigate more but didn't have the time. I'm curious to find out what their research uncovers for both locations and definitely want to go back when I have more time.

DURHAM, NC - 6/27/2012 - UNEDITED: I do not recall hearing any strange noises, though I am used to hearing rumbles due to my proximity to a major street in my town. Many trucks rumble by late at night. It was a strange night to start.
Before getting in the bed It appeared as though the moon and stars were in the wrong location in the sky. I dismissed it because I usually do not track such things...it just felt out of place. Anyway, I was in my bed and I saw something just walk through the wall from outside.(I live on the second floor) It looked sorta like a floating pale double "S". It was strange...I dismissed this too and decided It was due to my exhaustion. It was at this point that I felt like someone else was in the room with me.
I woke up my girlfriend and told her...she just rolled over and went back to sleep almost immediately. I attempted to go back to sleep but this being got right in my face...as if testing to see if I could detect it. I could not see it fully...mainly like a ghostly outline and some facial features. It was hunched over so I estimate that It may have stood around 3 to 4 feet tall. It had an oblong shaped head with huge eyes. I could only see an outline of the creature...it was invisible mostly.
As it was almost directly infront of my face, my right eye began to feel strange...as if I just got over a migraine headache...but it only felt uncomfortable on the right eye. It sort of looked like a Zeta type being or gray alien...but it was smaller than I would expect and it appeared much skinnier.
I didnt feel threatened by it but It did startle me when it got right in my face..it appeared as though I was walking through the object (my dogs kennel) right next to my bed to get in my face. I asked it to leave and it did...needless to say I did not sleep very well last night. Not out of fear, just perplexed. - "MUFON CMS"

With Halloween growing near, it's a good time for a ghost stories. My brother and I were trading ghost stories when he recalled something he'd seen on TV as a child. There were no History, Travel or Syfy channels in the late 60s, but the program was definitely a documentary. It featured haunted houses and the people who lived in them. One of the interviews was with German-born actress, Elke Sommer, who played opposite Peter Sellers in a Pink Panther movie called "A Shot in the Dark".
Elke Sommer and her husband, Hollywood columnist Joe Hyams, lived in Benedict Canyon in North Beverly Hills, California. They claimed that a ghost was living in their house. I can remember feeling spooked after watching this program. Sommer and her husband reported that they had a ghost in their dining room. The chairs would move around at night. Marks were put on the floor below the chairs before they went to bed, and in the morning the chairs wouldn't be standing on the marks anymore. The chairs would be all over the place.
In the middle of the night, Sommer and her husband would wake up to what sounded like a dinner party going on downstairs in the dining room. They heard voices, chairs scooting, glasses tinkling, and silverware clanging. Yet when they would venture downstairs, no one was there. Sommer said, "Things would move all the time and it would be very noisy and the usual poltergeist nonsense, you know." The ghost was described as being a middle-aged man wearing a white shirt.
After attempting to battle the spirits themselves with no relief, Sommer called in some help, contacting the Parapsychological Institute at UCLA. When Life photographer Allan Grant arrived at the house to take some pictures, he was a skeptic - but not so when he left. He said:
"Something happened that spooked me. On one roll of film that I shot in a particular room where they first spotted the ghost there were about four or five frames of film that were progressively fogged down to the end of the frame, giving it a ghostlike appearance, especially (of) Joe Hyams, who was in the shot. When that was processed and I took a look at it, I thought, there's no way that would happen...in the center of a roll...something else had happened that I couldn't explain and I've spent years as a photographer and that had never happened to me before....Something did happen in that house. "
The haunting continued. One night, awakened by a knocking on their bedroom door, Hyams opened the door to discover that a mysterious fire had broken out. He and Sommer managed to escape through a window. Shortly thereafter, they moved out of the house permanently. Hyams wrote a book about the haunting experience called "The Day I Gave Up the Ghost. "Evidently, though, the ghost didn't give up. The "severely haunted house" at 2633 Benedict Canyon was bought and sold more than seventeen times since Sommers vacated it, and many have reported ghostly phenomena.
Oddly enough, this ghost story made it to the pages of a 1965 and 1966 Jehovah's Witness publications, "AWAKE!" and "THE WATCHTOWER". Yet to be found, are the results of the investigation conducted by UCLA.
