The site of the crash is in an open field between Des Plaines Mobile Home and the Chicago K9 training area.
Within months of this terrible disaster, motorists claimed that they could see a number of lights appear in the field where the crash took place. Calls of strange lights flooded the Des Plaines Police Department as well. When officers went to the scene they never found anyone there.

Many people claim that they have heard footsteps approach their trailer, strange sounds outside and knocking on their doors. Some swear that when they have opened the door, a figure stood before them asking for their luggage.
Many people were too frightened to stay in their mobile homes and moved away.
To this date, the paranormal activity is ongoing. Perhaps it is because there is no marker or sign at the site of the crash to honor those who lost their lives that day.
